Western Landscape Portfolio

Life passes us by too quickly. As we grow older, we forget how to see. This portfolio of landscapes is a view of many ordinary scenes that pass by our eyes each day. Learning to see the the ordinary in an extraordinary way is what my vision is all about. Trees, rivers and streams, fields, nothing elaborate or exotic, but with vision. When carefully composed in warm, soft light, these everyday scenes come to life. This is what I am drawn to. This is my vision. This portfolio contains photographs from the western United States, with a few images included from Kauai as well. My goal in photography is to create a mood or feeling in the image that is conveyed to the viewer. I want you to feel what I feel when I am photographing. Sometimes it is a soft, ethereal feeling, other times very dramatic and moody.
